Albendazol este recomandat pentru preventia si terapia impotriva trematodelor, nematodelor pulmonare gastrointestinale la ovine, caprine si bovine.- substanta antihelmintica cu un spectru larg de activitate impotriva stadiilor mature si imature ale nematodelor intestinale si pulmonare si platelmintilor (cestode si trematode). In plus albendazolul are efect ovicid asupra nematodelor gastrointestinale si Fasciola hepatica.- eficient impotriva urmatorilor endoparaziti:Nematode: Haemonchus spp., Ostertagia spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Nematodirus spp., Gaygeria pachyschelis, Marshallagia marchalli, Oesophagostomum spp., Chabertia ovina, Dictyocaulus spp., Protostrongylus rufescens, Muellerius capillaris.Cestode: Monienzia expansa, Avitelllna spp.Trematode: Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantica, Fascioloides magna, Dicrocoelium dendriticum.Albendazol este eficient impotriva cestodelor, stadii mature si imature. Doze de 10 ori mai mari decat doza recomandata este putin probabil sa determine reactii adverse la animalele sanatoase. Albendazol nu are efect asupra sistemului reproducator de la masculi.
