Tratamentul otitei externe acute la caini in cazul in care, in baza testelor microbiologice, sunt prezente concomitent infectii cu Staphylococcus pseudintermedius si Pseudomonas aeruginosa si Malassezia pachydermatitis sensibile la ketoconazol, si, in baza testelor de susceptibilitate, datorita diferitelor caracteristici de rezistenta, administrarea atat a marbofloxacinei, cat si a gentamicinei este considerata a fi necesara pentru combaterea bacteriilor mentionate anterior.
