S-a demonstrat o reducere a avorturilor asociate cu infectiile BHV – 1 in timpul celui de-al doilea trimestru de gestatie, la 28 de zile dupa vaccinare.Instalarea imunitatii: in cel tarziu 4 saptamani dupa completarea primei vaccinari asa cum s-a demonstrat prin infectie de control.Durata imunitatii: 6 luni.
